Serena Williams is not a Horse!
So, we’ll say it: Serena Williams, the super heroic, record breaking, history making, continuous champion winning American tennis player, is not a horse! But if you read the response of Sports Illustrated fans for naming her Sportsperson of the Year instead of American Pharoah, “a.k.a. the horse that won the first Triple Crown in 37 years“, you’d think it absurd that she has two legs instead of a tail.
Since the controversy, Williams, 34, arrived at Tuesday night’s Sports Illustrated Sportsperson of the Year ceremony looking confident and fierce! The powerhouse danced around in a lingerie inspired gown that reminded us that she’s indeed a beautiful, playful woman with class and grace. USA Today wrote about her arrival, acceptance speech and every piece of fabulosity we missed on the red carpet. Go, Serena!
