Meet Jasmine Crowe @ The ME Experience :: Atlanta

Compassionate, Zealous, Visionary and Inspiring are just a few of the words that describe Jasmine Crowe, an HBCU alumna who is working to make the world a better place. In 2011 she founded (BCG). The idea for the site came from the vivid awareness of a lack of media coverage for black celebrities doing positive things to impact our communities. BCG was frontier in providing content of celebrity philanthropy, nonprofit organizations and causes that directly correlate with the black community. BCG partnered with celebrities across the nation in a host of cause campaigns to ensure their star-power was being used for good. Today lead by Jasmine, BCG has hosted activations in more than 20 US cities and the UK, South Africa and Haiti and has has collected and donated over three million items to causes worldwide and fed over 80,000 people through the Sunday Soul Homeless feeding initiative. Jasmine also served as the creator and executive producer of ChangeMakers a half hour docu-series profiling how celebrities use their star power for social change which premiered on Magic Johnson’s network ASPIRE!

In January of 2017, she launched Goodr, a sustainable food waste management company that leverages technology to combat hunger. Today Goodr redirects surplus food from convention centers, hotels, airports, and businesses to the millions of people who are food insecure. Under Jasmine’s direction the company now has clients that include: Turner Broadcasting Systems, Hartsfield- Jackson International Airport, Delta Airlines and more.

She has been featured in Huffington Post, The HARRY Show, Blavity, Upworthy, NBC, Black Enterprise, Amy Poehler’s Smart Girls and featured as a Hero of Hunger in a Brawny Paper Towels commercial.

Jasmine recently wrote her first children’s book series titled “Giving is Good” which teaches youth the importance of giving back thru a variety of causes. In her spare time she enjoys reading, traveling, working out and spending time with friends and family.

Your FAQs about The ME Experience, Answered!

We’re loving all of the questions flooding in about The ME Experience! To make it easy, we thought we’d answer the most popular Qs right here. Have a question about something that we didn’t cover? No worries, we’re just an email (, tweet, IG DM or Facebook message away (@beblogalicious).

Q: What exactly is The ME Experience?

The ME (Media and Entrepreneurship) Experience is a multi-city tour with intimate and immersive 1-day workshop intensives and inspired experiences geared towards high-engaging influencers and impactful enterprises who are prepared for holistic business and interpersonal growth.

Q: What is the goal of The ME Experience?

The ME Experience will focus on providing an elevated event experience, with an emphasis on ‘surprise and delight’. We’re creating intentional spaces for business development, networking, immersive experiences and the most requested feedback we get from our community: more breaks and downtime to connect, collaborate and share.

Q: Which cities will you be traveling to?

We’re stopping at a new city each quarter.

March 24th – Atlanta, GA

May 6th – Quebec City, Canada

August – Chicago, IL

October – San Francisco Bay Area, CA

Q: Who is the ME Experience for?

We’re welcoming all media professionals, entrepreneurs, and small businesses and influencers. Our 1-day tour stops are meant to be highly intimate and intensive.

Q: Just how intimate will this event be?

Unlike the Blogalicious Weekend conference that usually caps at 300-350 attendees, The ME experience will be limited to 50-75 attendees.

Q: What is the agenda for the event?

The agenda for each stop will be unique to that location, but you can get a sense of the Atlanta schedule by taking a peek at this:

Q: What time does the event start and end?

The ME Experience will start at 8am and end with a wrap party, ending at approximately 9pm .

Q: How can I apply to be a speaker?

Rather than open up a call for speakers, our team is hand-picking the speakers for The ME Experience for a carefully curated lineup. Visit our Presenters page for ongoing speaker announcements.

Q: How many speakers will you have at each city tour?

There will be about 4-6 speakers per event. Impact Session presenters, a keynote and several business mentors.

Q: I don’t see information about hotel reservations on the website?

Blogalicious is not hosting The ME Experience at a major hotel venue. Instead we’re partnering with brands and businesses that will help us achieve that intimate atmosphere that we’re working hard to provide. If you’re traveling from out of state, you will be responsible for locating your lodging.

Q: The ticket price is higher than what Blogalicious Weekend usually costs. What’s the reason for the change?

Much like business, media and marketing industry events that carry a four-figure price tag, the ME Experience is a high-end event targeted towards media influencers and entrepreneurs who are serious about their brand and business. The still-modest $497 investment lets us know that you’re not here to play around. You’re here to network and elevate.

Q: My brand/corporation is interested in partnering for this event. Where can I find more information about sponsorship?

Please send a note to: and we’ll provide you with our sponsor deck.

We hope that these FAQs help! See you at The ME Experience.

#Blogalicious9 Social Media Buzz Roundup
9 Tribes We Can’t Get Enough Of Online

Since wrapping up this year’s annual conference, one thing is for certain — holding space in a tribe is everything! Our weekend in Miami confirmed what we’ve always known about tribes, that they are necessary for next level growth and support in our personal and professional lives. The Tribe Up theme allowed space for the tribeless to find affirming circles and for others, to reunite and love on their friends from afar. Our official hashtags #Blogalicious9 and #TribeUp are external proof of just how important such convenes are.

While our community is the bee’s knees, we know there are multitudes of invigorating tribes out there waiting for you to join and participate. We have a short list of amazing online tribes we can’t get enough of, but before adding them to your roster, here’s a quick question. Have you checked in on your existing tribettes?

If you found like-minded women to connect with at Blogalicious Weekend, you have to stay connected with them. Your time together meant something, and with genuine, consistent communication, it still can. Consider scheduling weekly or monthly check-ins or accountability calls that will assist and affirm you both. Engage with them on social media with likes and authentic comments. Join their newsletters and support their creative projects. Be the friend you came looking for! These small tasks will deepen your relationships and hopefully, open you to more fulfilling opportunities and connections.

When one tribe isn’t enough, spread your wings in these 9 online tribes.

9 online tribes to know and join this year

We believe in starting businesses on zero dollars, selling expensive things to rich people, and doing real things in the world rather than trying to “manifest your dreams.” Bullish explores class and gender issues in business, assertiveness, sexual ethics, “gentlewomanly living,” multiple income streams, and the value of women talking openly about money, careers, privilege, and influence.

Mocha Moms, Inc. is the premier voice for mothers of color. Through chapters and online, Mocha Moms, Inc. provides support for women of color as they journey through all phases of motherhood while advocating for them nationally. Sister Power Hustlers

The brainchild of Michelle Y. Talbert, the Sister Power Hustlers community was birthed out of a deep desire to help women entrepreneurs get the information we need to create and sustain our businesses. 5 Lessons KIA Taught Us About “On Trend” Branding

When was the last time a brand made you feel truly special? For us, it was KIA at Blogalicious Weekend in Miami, Florida.

KIA returned as our premium conference sponsor and totally lived up to the title. Throughout the weekend, attendees raved about their swanky activations and trendy gifts. But what separated KIA from the pack was their staff. As consumers, we’ve all encountered brands who deplete their resources in marketing and branding, while overlooking the intimate ways they can physically interact with their audience. From the warm welcome attendees received upon walking into their Suite to the safety precautions their vehicle operators took, KIA exhibited great customer service. The staff focused on ensuring that our attendees got the most out of their time together, thus engraining brand awareness and for some, loyalty.

When we checked social media, it became clear that KIA was a collective favorite of the Blogalicious tribe. Our hashtags #Blogalicious9 and #TribeUp are embedded with photos of attendees enjoying delectables in KIA’s suite, cruising down Biscayne Blvd in one of their 2017 model cars, or fawning over free curated beauty and skincare products. This kind of response reminds us of how important it is to know your audience, their needs, and how and when to address them.

It’s important to us that we adjoin our audience with sponsors who “get them”. In confidence, we can say that KIA exceeded all expectations! Here are just a few branding lessons we learned from our time spent with the motor company.

5 branding lessons we learned from KIA

  1. Assemble the right tribe for your brand and its activations. Make sure they represent your mission with pride and integrity.
  2. Train your staff. Once you curate your tribe, equip them to serve your audience. With hundreds of attendees KIA’s staff met throughout Blogalicious Weekend, they were knowledgeable and prepared to handle next steps.
  3. Diversify your offering. For each day they were on the scene, this sponsor had something new to offer, which is great for diverse audiences.
  4. Make signing up easy. Consumers want to give you their contact information. Just make it easy for them to give.
  5. Be on trend. Everyone with a smartphone has heard about Rihanna’s new makeup line, Fenty Beauty. Due to the singer’s popularity – and the quality product features – those products are hardly in stock. Imagine the Blogalicious women’s surprise when they walked away with free Fenty products and a chance at a $50 Sephora gift card. This level of “on trend” is what we’re after and KIA provided just that!

Thank you, KIA, for being one of this year’s Title Sponsors! We appreciate the lessons, too.

Moving Forward: The Next Chapter in the Blogalicious Story
In 2005, I was a corporate lawyer who was giving my heart and soul to a company I wasn’t sure cared about my well-being as a person. It was always about the work – staying late, skipping meals, climbing the ladder. I got tired of that and wanted to have more, be more, and do more with my life.
Outside of my corporate job, I was a blogger. Myself, along with some other like-minded women who were in a similar situation as me, created Blogalicious in 2009 as a space to create a community offline, that we had found with our readers online.
Back then, I couldn’t have imagined that we’d still be at this nine years later! Since we got our start, we’ve become the premier conference celebrating the diversity of women in social media. We’ve worked with a stellar family of brands such as KIA, McDonald’s, Toyota, Coca-Cola, and Dove who have trusted us to tell their stories through unforgettable campaigns and initiatives with the help of our community.
From the legendary GAIN party in 2012 to the private movie screening of Beyond the Lights with Gina Prince-Bythewood in 2014, we’ve done and seen it all as a conference. We’ve had so much fun, learning, laughing, and growing together.
Now, however, things are changing.  As an industry, blogging has evolved. Social media has changed. Trends have come and gone, and there’s a new one starting every day! With our 10th year quickly approaching, I felt like it was time for us to evolve along with this industry we love so much.
What we’re anticipating is a series of multi-city events that bring you all the good vibes and great content that you’re used to, but for less time and in a more intimate setting. Imagine all of the deep-diving we do on the conference VIP Day, but more times throughout the year. I will also continue to serve you by bringing brands, influencers, and entrepreneurs together in a purposeful and profitable way, as a coach and consultant.
There’s so much more in store for us in this next chapter of the Blogalicious story. It is my hope that you’ll stay on the journey with us, pen in hand, ready to take your starring role. Learn more about ‘What’s Next?’
